Split PDF: Extract Chapters or Separate Invoices

· PDF Junkie guides

Why split?

One download may contain hundreds of pages, but you only need to send chapter 3—or each invoice must be its own attachment for accounting.

What you can do

  • Split by custom page ranges (e.g. 1–5, 6–10)
  • Extract every page as its own PDF when needed
  • Reduce email size by sending only relevant sections

How to split

  1. Upload your PDF on the Split tool.
  2. Choose range mode and enter ranges, or choose extract all pages.
  3. Run the split and download a ZIP or individual files (as offered by the tool).
Example: A 200-page manual: split pages 1–20 for the “quick start” PDF you share with customers.
Pro tip: Split before compressing if only part of the file is image-heavy—you can compress the heavy section separately.
